Starting point
The existing learning platform had grown slow over the years. Navigation had been shaped around special cases; setting up new courses required both editorial and IT work. Mobile usage had not been a continuous design assumption, but had clearly grown in everyday use.
The task
A platform with a clear information architecture, consistent mobile support, and content workflows that allow teachers to work independently. The migration had to remain compatible with running courses.
Key architectural decisions
- New information architecture along real teaching and learning paths
- Consolidated backend with clear data contracts towards the rendering layer
- Content workflows for teachers without an IT dependency
- Continuous mobile support as a design constraint
- Stabilised deployment pipeline with preview and stability stages
Status and handover
In productive operation. Handover documentation, content guide, and operations description are with the client. Extensions are managed through a prioritised backlog.
