Starting point
Coordination between field teams and operations partly relied on privately used messengers. The legal and operational requirements for retention, device management, and data separation could not be reliably met that way.
The task
A mobile communication solution with administrative control, encrypted transmission, device management, and traceable retention. The app had to remain workable in the field, including under unstable network conditions.
Key architectural decisions
- Encrypted transmission with a documented key procedure
- Device management with controlled onboarding and revocation
- Separation of message data and metadata to simplify audit
- Resilient backend with redelivery in case of interrupted connections
- Monitoring and delivery logs aligned with operational requirements
Status and handover
In productive use. Handover documentation, device guide, and operations description are with the client. Security and update procedures are agreed with operations and documented in writing.
